DAVIDSON, NC – It is with great disappointment that WDAV and Davidson College announce the cancellation of WDAV’s 2020 Young Chamber Musicians Competition due to the threat of COVID-19. This difficult announcement is made with the safety of concertgoers, musicians, jurors, staff, and volunteers involved with the competition as a top priority.
Due to the uncertainty inherent in this crisis and the complexity of moving this event to a future date, we do not plan to hold the Young Chamber Musicians Competition at a later date.
Although the competition will not take place in 2020, the jury did complete its review of applications. WDAV would like to announce the four ensembles who were selected to compete in the final round of the Young Chamber Musicians Competition. Please join us in congratulating these four outstanding ensembles:
Senior Division Finalists
Junior Division Finalists
